BECOMING 1984/2024 (EXCERPT)

Four photographs of my late brother taken in 1984 animated into a 20 second film loop forty years later. The boy is perpetually becoming. The work is a consummate presence from absence. Both the subject and the photograph are in a constant state of transformative renewal. The negotiation of loss is perpetual and the outcome indeterminate. Generative soundtrack by Ian Sherwin.
